Overview/Purpose:
To provide knowledge, motivation, and leadership in an activity in which the student can excel to full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to total education including physical well-being, moral character, and social and mental development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- To organize his/her program so that it is consistent with the district and school philosophy, goals and objectives. To be familiar with and follow the policies and procedures in the coaches handbook.
- To be responsible for the supervision of the students at all times when they are under his/her direction until they are dismissed from the building. The coach is the last one out.
- To organize, direct, and supervise all practice sessions, team meetings, contests and out of town trips.
- To protect the liability of the staff, the school and the district through proper instruction, equipment inspection and safety warnings. To follow district safety guidelines.
- To display mature conduct at all practices and games. To exercise sound and discretionary judgment relative to the direction of the team, both on and off the competition area.
- To assume any other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience coaching football preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Upon hire, successful completion of WIAA concussion training
- Must be 19 years of age or older

Salary Range: $3,523.00 - $4,714.00 depeding on experience. This position is paid by a stipend divided between the months of the season

Job Summary:
Fosters and enhances an effective learning environment; facilitates the development or revision of curriculum and instructional materials; establishes learning objectives and standards based upon general District guidelines; provides instruction, counsels, disciplines and supervises to meet the individual needs of assigned students and evaluates student performance and progress.
Duties Responsibilities [or Essential Functions]:
- Fosters an educational environment conducive to the learning and maturation process of assigned students; plans an instructional program designed to meet individual student needs and the whole group which may include at-risk or special needs youth, which include highly capable learners, and may also include at-risk or special needs youth.
- Utilizes and maintains district/building curricular and student learning objectives.
- Maintains classroom discipline and uses effective classroom management skills.
- Confers with students, parents or guardians, and other staff, maintaining an open positive relationship as appropriate to provide guidance and evaluation and to encourage student achievement.
- Establishes classroom goals and objectives, in conformation with courses of study specified by State and School District statutes, regulations, and guidelines, and records student progress; prepares reports for parents or guardians.
- Demonstrates overall proficiency in the four domains of instruction as found in the Danielson Framework including Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professional Responsibility.
- Collects and interprets a variety of data and adjusts instruction accordingly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated skills in human relations, leadership, and conflict management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of technology to enhance student learning preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.
- Evidence of ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
- Aware of current educational developments and applications
- Demonstrated appreciation of and sensitivity to youth and adults of varying socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, different learning styles, and various disabilities
- Willingness, interest, and commitment to participate in professional collaboration and student supervision.
- Commitment and adherence to confidentiality and other professional standards
Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and current valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsements appropriate for the assignment. Must meet ESSA criteria for an assignment.
- Successful teaching experience in related subject areas and/or grade level is preferred. If no prior experience must have successful student teaching experience.
- Prefer multiple endorsements in the position with Specialty endorsement in Teaching the Gifted, coursework or training specific to teaching gifted students, or two years’ experience with highly capable learners preferred.

Salary Range: Up to $53.00 Per Diem depending on experience and degree.
Contract Days: June 17, 2024 – July 18, 2024. No classes on June 19, July 4, and July 5th. 4.5 hours per day including a 30-minute prep time. 7:45 AM – 12:15 PM
